This is Aircraft Number N921LG. This aircraft started its airline career on July 12, 1979 with Texas International Airlines as N3509T. Texas International bought out Continental Airline in 1983 but kept the Continental name. This aircraft flew for Continental as N27509 until leaving the fleet in 1999. On January 11, 1999, this airpane started its new career with Legend Airlines. On September 28, 2001 this aircraft joined the fleet of Southeast Airlines in Clearwater, Florida. It was never painted in the Southeast colors but was used for spare parts. This photo was taken at the St. Pete/Clearwater Airport (PIE) on the ramp of the Southeast maintenance hanger just before the airline went out of business in November of 2004.
This aircraft went on to continue its airline career with Global Aviation Leasing and was re-registered as 3D-MRU. On May 30, 2007 it was again re-registered as ZS-GAU with Global Aviation Investments. August 17, 2008 it found a new home with Gryphon Airlines. September 9, 2011 the airplane was sold to Velvet Sky Airlines. As of February 27, 2012, this aircraft has been stored. No further sighting have been made.
