MEMPHIS BELLE "THE MOVIE"

This is a replica of the original Memphis Belle.  This aircraft actually flew in World War II but it was not the real Memphis Belle.  This airplane was painted up as the Memphis Belle for the movie.  The real Memphis Belle is on display at the Air Force Museum in Dayton, Ohio.

SOUTHEAST AIRLINES N374GE

Southeast Airlines registration number N374GE, serial number 49374 is a McDonnell Douglas MD-82.  This aircraft made its first flight on May 20, 1985.  It was delivered to Korean Airlines on Aug. 21, 1985 as registration number HL7273.  It was later re-registered as HL7542, May 01,1998.  The aircraft went back to the lessor (GECAS) and re-registered as N374GE on April 13, 2001.  On Jan. 01, 2002 it was leased to Southeast Airlines and remained in their fleet until going out of business November 30, 200,.

This aircraft was de-registered on March 30, 2007 and is scrapped out at the Goodyear Litchfield Municipal  (GYR) in Arizona.  This Photograph was taken just after the airplane was pushed out to the maintenance hanger at PIE - St Pete/Clearwater International Airport waiting its time to go to the gate for a revenue flight.

SOUTHEAST AIRLINES N933JK

Southeast Airlines, registration number N933JK, manufacturers serial number 48159,  This is a McDonnell Douglas DC-9-31. The date of manufacture was May 2, 1982 the last DC-9 ever built.  This aircraft was photographed at the St. Pete/Clearwater Airport (PIE). It originally flew for USAir as N983VJ.  On June 13,2000 this aircraft was withdrawn from use and stored a MZJ.  The aircraft re-entered service on July 28, 2000 with Southeast Airlines and was re-registered to N933JK.  The airline ceased operation on November 30, 2004 and this airplane was later scrapped out.

MARKAIR AIRLINES

This is MarkAir Airlines, registration number N686MA.  This is a Boeing 737-4S3, serial number 24795.  This aircraft previously flew for Air Europe registration G-BRKF, Inter European Airlines registration G-IEAE, and Iceland Air/Maersk Air registration TF-FIE.  

It finally settled with Alaska Airlines in April 1996 and registered as N786AS.

MALAYSIA AIRLINES

This is Malaysia aircraft registration 9M-MJK.  This is a Boeing 737-4Y0, serial number 24682.  This aircraft was delivered to Malaysia Airlines 05/03/1990.  Since then it has flown for Futura International with a registration number EC-737 and EC-FZX.  It flew for Jet Airways registration number VT-JAH, FNB registration N682GE, Transbrasil registration PT-TDF.  It went back to Futura International as registration EC-HCN, then to Helios Airways as registration 5B-DBG, Malev as registration HA-LEY and lastly went to Lionair as registration PK-LIJ.

This aircraft was stored 10/2006 and later scrapped out in 2007.

NOVAIR

This is Novair aircraft registration number G-BOPK.  This is a Boeing 737-46B, serial number 24124.  This aircraft was manufactured in 1989 and has flown under registration numbers EC-FYG, EC-GHF, EC-GNC, EC-HCP, EI,CRC, SU-SAA, and N689MA. 

Nova Airlines, doing business as Novair, is an airline headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden.  It operates charter flights to the Mediterranean and the Canary Island, as well as long-haul flights to Thailand, India, and Vietnam.  Its main base and hub of operations in Stockholm-Arlanda Airport.  Novair was established and started operations in November 1997.

USAir

I started photographing airplanes in 1983 when I started working for Piedmont Airlines at the Dallas/Ft Worth International Airport.  With ramp access, I was able to get some up-close and personal pictures of different airlines and aircraft types.  30 years working at 7 different airports my photo collection has definitely has become very large.  My collection started out with slide film and has now moved to digital.  I have been scanning slides from my collection and adding them to www.PhotoEnrichments.com .  With over 1000 slides it becomes time consuming but I am making progress.  I will post new additions to www.PhotoEnrichments.com on this blog to keep you up to date.  All photos posted on this blog are available for purchase in various sizes and mediums at www.PhotoEnrichments.com .

This is a Boeing 737-401, serial number 23883.  It was built for Piedmont Airlines and delivered 11/22/88.  It was retired from the USAir 09/03/02.  It ferried to Greenwood April 2003 to be parted out by The Memphis Group.
